This section is where I'll share my devotions as I seek the Lord and read upon His words and also what I have learn from my Pastors, Leaders, Brothers and also my own personal reading.
The Bible is a book of life and it is also known as the living Bible because a verse in the Bible can teach us different truth and I believe that God has prepare different verses for us at different situation in our life and for different condition of our heart. We can learn new truth each time we read of His word and meditate upon it.
So what does it mean to meditate upon a word or a verse and how do we do it? Basically meditating a verse means to put in much thought about it or to reflect upon it. So how do we do it? I remember my leader told me that if we know how to worry, then we know how to meditate upon a verse and it is very true. After our morning devotion, spent the rest of the day thinking of the verses you read and ask God to review His will to you through the day. You will be amazed by how much more you can learn through the day.
When we read the Bible, we may wonder whether the Bible will speak to us or do we understand a certain verse in the Bible. Well, look with me to John 14:15-17, "If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you." and John 16:13 "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come." The Holy Spirit is always with us and it is He who teaches and guilds us when we read God's word.
So do not worry as it will be an exciting time as you spent time with God and hear Him speak to you.
